Karter's Throw Crochet Pattern
Karter's Throw is an instant download for a simple and classic crochet blanket PATTERN (NOT the blanket itself!)
This blanket is made using the double crochet V stitch which utilizes only double crochets, so very beginner friendly. It's a fantastic stitch for unwinding and relaxing with because once you get the hang of it and get into a good groove it's a pretty "mindless" stitch, so to speak. It also works up relatively quickly making it perfect if you're in a time crunch to get it finished. The blanket is warm and toasty without feeling overly heavy and has beautiful drape.
The colors in the pattern are pretty timeless but can be easily changed to any color scheme you like, or even a lovely solid. It's also a great choice for stash busting (I've done one of these with this pattern and it's on my list of favorites!).
An envelope border/double border finishes off this cozy blanket. That means you'll have minimal ends to weave in which is always a win in my book! All your ends are tied into nice, neat, secure knots, trimmed a bit, then sandwiched in between the two sides of the border completely hidden from view and never to be seen. The end result is a beautiful, crisp, substantial border that I know you'll fall in love with. Especially if you hate weaving in ends as much as I do! It's pure genius.
The pattern includes pictures for clarification and YouTube links as well if you're a visual learner or just need a little extra help.
This pattern is written in US terms.
Finished blanket is approximately 54" x 66" (137cm x 168cm)
